Admittedly, this author’s knowledge of wrestling games isn’t as sharp as other genres, but as we understand it, General Manager modes have been popular in past WWE titles. WWE 2K22 will bring the feature back in the form of MyGM, which looks and sounds similar to NBA 2K22’s headline MyNBA mode.
Effectively, you’ll be able to pick from one of four different general managers – or create your own, of course – and you’ll be responsible for running your very own wrestling franchise. You’ll need to sign free agents, develop storylines, and build-up to the kind of match-ups that your fans want to see. All of this will boost ratings, increasing interest in your brand.
It certainly looks deep in the trailer, and developer Visual Concepts has a great track-record putting together these kinds of modes in the NBA 2K series, so hopes will certainly be high. Obviously, publisher 2K Sports is banking on this game reviving the franchise’s fortunes, after WWE 2K20 was ridiculed for launching in a torrid state.

Maybe... but only if I can just run Royal Rumbles 24/7
@PlayStationGamer3919 Yuke’s are the ones who actually made Here Comes The Pain and they were doing these games until 2K19. They’re doing an AEW game now.
I've really lost interest in actually playing WWE games since the PS2 days but if it has a big and robust GM mode then it might be worth getting.
We might be on the right track here. 2K trying to redeem itself for WWE 2K20.
The game looks pretty cool so far. Well, not actually in the graphics department, but I don't care about that. I just want the games to be fun again. MyGM mode seems like a step in that direction.
If they nail the MyGM mode like they should, then the series could become popular again even after the disastrous last couple of games. That was a really popular mode, especially with streamers.
I'd get it for that when it goes on a good sale if that mode turns out to be really good. I'm not that big on the gameplay of wrestling games, but running your own show like the old games could be a blast.
Yeah, not really interested in managing the current WWE roster tbh.
They have limited it’s duration to a really short period. IMHO ruining the point of it.
WWE let go of most of the roster that appealed to me in purchasing a new wrestling game.
Will wait and see what's going on with the AEW game.
Make an attitude era game....ain't got a clue who the majority of these boring looking wrestlers are.....WWE used to be great ....like 20 years ago
Only 3 matches per card is horrendous though. I know some will defend that decision, but it isn't enough.
